What do you guys think of this build? It is going to be used for gaming.
2500k
haf 912
hyper 212+
corsair vengeance blue 4gb 1600
dvd writer
windows 7
caviar blue 500gb
corsair 750w
LG W2343T-PF 23IN
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro

This is just above $1100. To stay near my budget I decided not to get a gpu. I'll be using the integrated gpu for 2 months until I can get a good dedicated gpu.

Looks like a solid build, what Corsair 750W is that the TX? If so is it the new series, it looks kind of gold for the new series, and I recommend the Samsung F3 1TB over the Caviar Blue.

It's this one http://ncix.com/products/?sku=26415&...r&promoid=1324. It's the old one I think. Do you guys know a good modular 750w psu that doesn't cost much?

Just my opinion, but I don't think this is a good time to build an $1100 computer. AMD will be launching a brand new series before you get your gpu, so is it possible that you can hold off for like 4 weeks? There may be large price changes for other products even if you're not interested in the new AMD stuff. If at all possible, try to resist the urge to buy for a month. I think you'll be glad you did!

OP your build looks good. No point in holding out (new stuff always is coming out). And IMHO a processor like the i5-2500k for like 220 is a damn good deal. Dont see it coming much cheaper than that anytime soon.

Why not the caviar black series? They are pretty cheap on newegg.
