all you are doing is using up your processor's lifespan faster.
not letting it clock down means higher voltage and there for temps even when its just idling.

I am just saying you are not "supposed to" (have to) turn off speedstep.
what if i leave speedstep on and turbo off?

and my idle temps r the same even with speedstep on, same with the voltage -_-

what are your clocks with speedstep on?
because you should not be getting any more that .980 @ 1.6GHz with speedstep on.

you're having an issue with your voltage then... I'm not familiar with your board's bios. But it SHOULD NOT keep 1.144 when it is downclocked to 16x.
need to check something there, friend.

I left Turbo on (doesn't matter either way, really) and I get 4.8 under load, and 1.6GHz idle. 1.368 and .980 respectively.

I use offset, using manual would not let my vcore to drop at idle any more.. So that's why i use offset.

If i set my CPU voltage to auto, the voltage will drop when idle to like.8 but it makes my load voltage go to 1.29v when i can run 4ghz on 1.15v.... >_>
