The tCase is in the low 70s, but thats not the max temperature for the processor itself. Add another 25C or so onto the tCase

i7s have been ran at 75+ for a long long time... Not much changed with Sandybridge as far as thermal tolerance.

That's Tcase/IHS temp. Core temps are like 10C higher than that. So you can add "about" 10C to that, if you want. The "max safe temp" is assuming motherboard monitoring of the IHS "cpu temp," not with programs like realtemp/coretemp.

So in shortest, the temperatures aren't anything to worry about, but when I get the chance to lower them I should?

I hit the low 70's on the cores folding or priming but that's when my room is 75F+ Getting hot here so I feel your pain. But as far as chip safety, I don't worry about low 70's on the cores personally. When my AC is on, max load my cores hover in the mid 60's
