My Monitor wont connect to my computer - Page 3

Are you sure you have the monitor set to the correct station? My monitor has an HDMI input, VGA, DVI, and something else.

There aren't any noises out of the ordinary. I may try swapping out video cards with another but it'll take some time to do that. If that doesn't work, could it be that the port to connect it to the circuit board is broken?

EDIT: The monitor only has one station and I have used the monitor before with this desktop and the monitor works with a laptop, so it must be the video card then, correct?

Or your motherboard. Try tearing down the computer and reassembling it- my desktop wouldnt display anything at all after the drive back from college- I tried anything but nothing helped until I reseated the CPU. Put it all back together, and no problems.....

One station? You mean one input?

Does your keyboard or mouse light up when you start your computer? If not, its a good indication that it is not the graphics card, its the motherboard (or something else)

I'm assuming you switched the BIOS going from card to onboard and back?

Maybe it is the MB...
