1: How long have you the OS installed and running?
2: Do you clean it? ie. Disk cleans, Defrag's, Reg cleans etc?

Simple things like this make OS's last 5 times longer, i doubt its hardware related myself, just from my own experience. Take an hour or so once a week to perform maintenance on your machine, goes a long way.

I love you guys

I have had a weird issue with Win7 on my gaming PC going weird after about 15/20min on idle or light duties.. like web browsing. All sorts of spastic stuff going on with display artifacting and a chunk of the right hand side of the screen displaying on the left hand side but still screenshotting normal..

hopefully this stupid HDD issue has fixed this. Time will tell.

Was also getting random hang-ups when I left the PC alone for a while. With any luck this will help that issue also.

1. Only since Oct 1 10

I also use Malwarebytes to check for Aliens

Ah damn, I was wrong, still getting problems after idling for a while. Screen does all sorts of random stuff. Shimmers run top to bottom, static, or a chunk ends up on the wrong side.... it's random as hell and I've no idea where to hunt for the problem
