You sir need to work on your reading comprehension. I will try for the third time to re state this so you might get it.

I will games maybe 2-4 hours a day if that. The rest of the time, all 4 gpus will be running a program that takes them to 100% useage. These gpus are actually a bit faster then the cayman gpus in this application.

In other words, for the primary useage there is no better dual card setup available at all. Quad 6970s or 50s would be hotter, louder, inferior warranty, produce less and be just about impossible to actually fit inside a case

Show me one application where crossfire 5870's fares better than crossfire 6970's.

Also, is there any reason why you opted for 2x Asus Ares as opposed to 4x 5870's?
