bsod or just a restart?
also what was your max temps
your mobo miight shut down around 70c on that nb that seems a lil high.
Have you run prime successfully at stock speeds with the 4th core unlocked?

It could be a faulty core which is why the CPU was sold as an x3.

it just restarted on me, no bSOD. I'm not sure about the max temp but i'm pretty sure it was close to that of the screen shot. What should i do with the NB?

I did run prime before with stock speed as an x4, ran fine for many hours.

If I'm not wrong, the Phenom II X3 720 comes factory clocked at 1.325v on the core but yours is just 1.3v (?). So you may be having to bump up the voltage a little bit to get stable at 3.3Ghz.

Raising the CPU/NB can help you get past walls on your overclock. Try raising your cpu/nb to 2600 or so. Make sure your increasing the cpu/nb voltage to keep up with the clock. My motherboard needs 1.32 for 2800ish clock.

Make sure to set your HT link as close to 2000 as possible. Overclocking it can make your ram slower.

Have you tried raising your reference clock?

Dont worry about your voltage either, phenom IIs are good up to 1.55 but I wont go past 1.48 on air.

if it helps... my 720 unlocked runs at 3.52 @ 1.475v. The cpu/nb is at 2.6 @ 1.4v

first, what is your cpu/nb voltage? Also, how r u OC'ing? Are you just using the multi? It may not like your high multi. Also what is your CPU/NB speed running at along with your HT?

Truth be told, i think it's rebooting because of lack of CPU voltage, but you said your temps are high 50's?? If they are already at high 50's.. i truthfully don't recommend oc'ing much....

just a note that for my cpu, 3.6 failed as both an x3 and an x4.

I have an unlocked x3. Its based off the C2 revision and only clocks up to around 3.5-3.6 with high voltage. I usually run it at 3250 Mhz. With my baseclock at 250 and the multi at 13 and 1.4 volts to the cpu. I think most x3's were C2 or C1 and don't clock as high as the newer C3 chips. Also check your IMC/NB speeds, mine craps out at anything over 2.4 Ghz. no matter what the voltage.

Just my

My 740 did not unlock so I haven't tried it as an x4... and if you don't need it to be an x4 maybe try going back to an x3

My specs
240x15=3,600
vcore @ 1.425
NBvolt 1.3

Also with those temps you may want to reapply the TIM your temperatures could be from a bad application.
