For TV: Plasma, or CRT Projector (depending on the size).

For Gaming: CRTs, easily.

For Everything else on a PC: I still like CRTs the best, but a 30"@2560x1600 Wide Gamut LCD does come in handy. I can accept giving up a CRT for that sort of monitor, but any less (smaller/low res/sRGB only/etc) and it's not worth it.

yeah projectors a kewl. But they're prices still a bit high. But once they start to become cheaper its going to be projector wars lol.
Quick way for wall size gaming. All you need is a projector and a big white bedsheet. One without stains though otherwise what will your mates think when they come over for a visit.
