These are really good at a great price, I like mine a lot. Only quibble is that they can get uncomfortably tight after prolonged use. I've heard putting on the earpads from the SRH840s helps with this problem but I haven't tried it out yet.

Yeah, that's what I've heard also. Figured I would give them a shot with the stock pads first.

How do these compare to the AD700 or M50?

i bought these at that price about 6 months ago, good deal nevertheless. Acoustics sounds are AMAZING(ex dave matthews, classical, basically anything without alot of bass). After ~100 hours burn in they sound even better.

These are large and NOT meant for prolonged use or portability/public use. I say all of this from my personal experience. I use these to DJ, so they have decent sound isolation and are loud enough for my needs.

If you like to listen to chill music and relax while browsing the net, go for it. If you are looking for gaming headphones, get a different set of cans. My 2cents

It was a toss up for me. Mixed reviews on the 440's vs the V6's. My friend ordered a pair of V6's so I picked these up so we can compare the two.

I was about to sell mine because they're so uncomfortable. The earpads feel stiff. And the coiled wire gets sooo annoying but there's a straight one available on Amazon for like $20.... but still I hate them.
