As far as the second part I agree with you. I have two posts on here that neither Z or chris bothered responding to. I was going back and forth with Z and then it decided to quit talking. So yea...continue answering the select posts.... >
Agreed. Rep shouldn't be a requirement. I've helped so many people out around here, who never bother to click the rep button. And look, I've got 86 rep, and you have 12 rep.
Yet, you have over 2 Million points, while I'm still just working towards my postbit.
But we definitely need some sort of requirements like having a postbit like I mentioned in my post above, and giving new people 2 weeks to get it after the CC ends. This would encourage the new folders to keep going after the CC.
Also agree on the post part, not about Z, just in general. Z is pretty helpful overall, and it must be daunting to have to deal with so many people.
I remember during the CC I was asking about how the whole points system worked, 'cuz it didn't make sense how the smaller teams had such a big edge. When ever people asked similar questions, they were called whiners.
So I stopped posting in that thread all together.
Since I'm a new folder, I don't know how everything works yet, so I ask, and I only need the answer once as I catch on quick, but call me a whiner instead? That could've led to me not folding any further, 'cuz it did cross my mind.

"I want to encourage more new people that are interested in the prizes to take that little extra step to get into the higher tier that maybe they wouldn't have otherwise. If we get even a few extra people that normally would just do the minimum to sign up, to do the little bit more work folding to get into the higher tier because they want a shot at the better prizes then that would be a success."
That and also the fact that the possibility of serious folders getting games and newbie temporary folders getting folding hardware are what I believe are the biggest problems currently, that just doesn't make sense.
Like I said previously I don't want the requirements to get into the higher tier to be difficult enough to discourage people from getting into the higher tier or to "separate the boys from the men" but just inspire some people that would have only been boys just for the prizes to consider folding the extra little bit of folding to become men. Does that analogy still make sense or has it fallen apart? LOL I hope you get what I'm saying.
btw - I just want to point out that you've been very helpful and encouraging after the CC ended.
I agree on the postbit requirement to qualify for prizes too, this way it gets people folding AFTER the CC is over, not just during.
Heck, I'm working on mine now. Edited by 2010rig - 5/22/11 at 9:00pm
