What card for upgrade?

Thread Starter
I will be changing from AGP to PCIe soon. I have a Quadro FX3500
at the moment. I fool around with CAD and the quadro is far better than anything I had before, several matrox cards and a FireGL.

Will the non quadro Nvidia card antialias as well?

If you do a bunch of CAD stick with a newer PCI-E Quadro card they are built to do that type of computing better.

Yes pretty much as I thought, but I was unsure if the game type cards
couldn't do as well. Anyway I just bought a PCIe Quadro FX1400, not as
good as the AGP card I have but was very very cheap[I should have been wearing a mask and shouting "stand and deliver"]...
Not bought a motherboard yet...
So off to find a motherboard and CPU now..

Maybe go for a FX1800, it's only about $500 now, this one performs well and not so expensive like the others.
