Yes. XFX units are seasonic based, so no need to change that. If you don't plan on putting another card, you would be better off with a ≤500w unit.

@OP, I'd try to get an open box 6950 if I were you. That is if you are in the U.S. You get them for not much more than that card you have. But really, your build should be fine
@PhillyOverclocker- ive def heard horror stories about XFX so im right there with ya! Ive done a bit of research and this PSU was recommended to me, though im still not sure if im going with it. Any suggestions?

@col musstard ill look into the open box 6950 right now, thanks for the suggestion. not sure how i didnt think of that myself

Get a better graphics card and a better PSU, and you would have one rockin system. +rep!

The SSD is kind of unnecessary to be honest. Kind of a novelty, go for sheer power, then the small things.
That power supply is perfectly fine. SSDs are actually great. Make a big difference in every day tasks.

The power supply is fine. But I would go with a 750W+ just in case I wanted to chuck another GPU in there.
There is no need to go with a 750 watt. 650 watt is overkill as it is. He can crossfire that thing and still be overkill

Yup.

That XFX power supply is based off of a seasonic platform. The same seasonic platform that the Corsair TX650V2 is based on.

He can OC that CPU, two GPUs, and add 10 hard drives and still be fine with that power supply.

That power supply is the same platform that is used in the Corsair TX650V2. It will be just fine.

Ok, before I get flamed for my SSD comment, I do have a SSD in every one of my computers, even have a OCZ Z-Drive at 1200+ mbps

I just didn't feel for gaming, that a SSD impacted my gaming experience other than when I added another GTX 570 to my computer.

I love my SSD's, but I just feel $300 for 128 GB is too much for what you actually get, so please, stop quoting my post.

Also, as long as the 650 watt is good quality, you should be fine, but I always go big so I never have to worry about upgrading that with all my other components. Have 2 1200 watt's and 1 1600 watt. Just in case

Other than that I would say upgrade you're cooling. You could go with something like the noctua dh-14 or the silver arrow if you want to stick with air. You can also go with the Rasa 360mm kit and later on upgrade to GPU watercooling as well.

Big doesn't always mean better. If your running those PSUs at less than 10-20% of their power outputs then your actually losing. PSUs with HIGH outputs are designed to be efficient at just that, high outputs. Hooking them up to basic gaming rigs will just result in bad efficiency, which = bigger electricity bill

P.S this take this as friendly advice not flaming
