Is it worth upgrading a T40?

Thread Starter
I currently have a creative T40 series 2 speakers which is connected to a creative titanium HD soundcard. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to upgrade my current setup to the audioengine a5.

my main uses are 60% gaming and 40% music + movies

frankly the A5 are noticeably better than the T40 , extra features , higher sound quality especially while handling lows

but they are almost 350$ , so if you have money that burns hole in your pocket then those are highly recommended

i personally feel that the T40s are a little hollow in terms of sound. It feels like the sound is coming from deep within the speakers. Due to a some space constraints in my room, one of the speakers will be placed closed to the corner of the room. Understand that the A5 are backward firing? will that be a concern for me?
