How do you get around the 2600K idle bug? - Page 11

The only issue I have ever had is sleep state with my monitors. Once in a blue moon when my monitor goes to sleep, I cannot get it to wake up again. Disconnecting the monitor and reconnecting it resolves the issue.

I have 3 SB systems (with different Asus boards) and to date have not had a single crash during regular or bench use.

Not being rude but I dont see how this contributes to resolving the idle bug.

One fix could be use a fixed vcore.

Why would you go manual at 4.5Ghz, just curious here?

IIRC Compudaze found that, when using offset it requires a little more voltage as appose to manual settings.

What if you using a negative offset?

The only downside with manual is that your cpu cannot downclock and undervolt.

Agree, but you don't need to worry about the idle bug.
I had a similar problem at idle while i was learning what settings worked with my particular hardware and these settings have given me a (finally) rock solid rig with no blue screens. hope this points anyone needing help in the right direction.
Mobo P67A UD4 B3 F4 bios
2500k at 4.7ghz at 1.39v
8gb Gskill ram 1600mhz

bios settings are default apart from below.

multiplier set to x47 (not via each core though as that caused blue screens for me)
CPU PLL turned on
LLC (load line calibration) turned on
voltage set to normal with +45 dynamic vcore (dvid)
all power saving turned on
QPI/VTT 1.100v
system agent voltage 0.945v
