Driver installation order on a SSD??

Hi all

I could do with a little advice please. After reading a few varying posts over the weekend I'm just wondering what is the recommended order for installing all the system drivers on a clean install of Windows 7 x64 on a new SSD ??

I've got myself a Vertex 3 and I'm finally getting around to installing it. Unfortunately I am using a 6gb Marvell 9128 Sata controller so I presume the driver for this has to be about first. Also a what point am I supposed to run the Windows Experience Index?

The thing to that's most important concerning your HD (since you posted this in the HD section) is making sure you have AHCI selected in your bios instead of IDE or SATA/IDE so that windows will load the AHCI drivers during install. You will get the best performance out of your drive with these installed, and while you can force windows to load AHCI drivers after the install, it requires some tinkering with the registry.

The 6gb Marvell 9128 Sata controller may not even need drivers if you arnt going to be running RAID. I would just let windows install the default drivers then benchmark to see how things are working out. I dunno for sure though since I dont have any SATA 6 drives or hardware.

Thanks for the help.
Sorry for posting in the Hard Drive section. I didn't notice until it was to late and I had already started a thread.
