Windows driver install order on a SSD?

Hi all

I could do with a little advice please. After reading a few varying posts over the weekend I'm just wondering what is the recommended order for installing all the system drivers on a clean install of Windows 7 x64 on a new SSD ??

I've got myself a Vertex 3 and I'm finally getting around to installing it. Unfortunately I am using a 6gb Marvell 9128 Sata controller so I presume the driver for this has to be about first. Also a what point am I supposed to run the Windows Experience Index?

Cheers

1.) Boot from mobo install DVD
2.) Install drivers

Run the WEI after your first boot into the OS after you've installed everything. I'm assuming you already have Win7 installed?

I recently did a clean install on a new Intel 510, on a Marvell 9182 controller. During pre-installation I had a prepared USB stick with the Marvell controller drivers, and installed these prior to the rest of the Win 7 install. That's really all I did. Everything is working fine at the moment.

I didn't think you would need to install the drivers pre Windows installation. I better drop the Marvell drivers onto a mem stick before I start tonight.

I doubt it was required. The controller works with the default MSAHCI drivers. But I figured it wouldn't hurt anything if I used the 'proper' drivers right from the start.
