6950 bad performance?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I bought a second revision reference HIS 6950 2GB card today for $300, but i'm having some weird performance issues.

I bought this card
http://www.memoryexpress.com/Product...33345(ME).aspx

However in furmark 1.8.2 I only get 30 fps.

My idle temp is 60 degrees and my load is around 75 degrees.
In BC2 maxed out with 4x AA and 16x AF I get a stuttery 50 fps.

Is this all normal?

The heat issue is normal , the ref cards all get hot.

But your FPS problems could be related to driver issues.
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed.

Another common mistake with new cards is the fact that some people don´t plug in the power connectors properly

try that if it still has bad FPS I will look in to it more particulary

First thing to try is a driver reinstall and an update to the latest drivers.

try 11.5a HotFix found here: https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/2030...win7_may16.exe

Edit: Also in BC2 disable HBAO or whatever it is, makes no graphical difference and is a huge frame junkie.
