ATI Tray Tools & Laptop

Hi,

I am having some problems with ATI Tray Tools with regards to overclocking my laptop's (Toshiba L500-1ZP) graphics card a Mobility Radeon HD5165. Every time when I try to apply an overclock, it just won't do it. It reverts it back to default upon pressing the 'apply' button.

I have the latest Catalyst installed and the latest ATT, I have searched Google for this problem, but I can not find anything relating to my case. Furthermore, the temperatures are very acceptable, I have checked them before trying to overclock.

I also do not have Catalyst Control Center installed, just the driver and ATT as the CCC replacement.

Thanks in advance,

t1n5l3y.

Have you tried MSI Afterburner? Does that work?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, and yes I have tried MSI Afterburner 2.10. I unlocked its settings in the config file, else I could not get past 600/800. With GPU-Z 0.5.3 open, after applying a change in MSI Afterburner, GPU-Z recognises it, but MSI Afterburner's own monitor and ATT's clock monitor does not budge, even when putting it under load. So upping it to 700/900 for example, the sliders show 700/900, but the monitor to the right, even under load stays at 550/800. With ATT shut down it still shows the same behaviour.

Thanks in advance for any further input,

t1n5l3y.
