oops

silly me *facepalm moment again

in that case....a 650w should suffice if you lower your OC and leave the 590 on stock....worst case scenario....your PSU would shut off methinks....

I would feel a little safer with a 750w+ though, but thats just me

For comparison, my current setup with an HD6990 + 4ghz i7 runs fine on my HX620 with everything OC'ed. I'm sure you'll have no problems.

the 6990 uses bit less power compared to the 590 soo you got more wiggle room

It's on the OC'ed switch position, and I added a few more mhz's, so I'd say it's drawing quite a bit of power.

like i said you got more wiggle room

as for the question the OP asked

505watts avg for 590

tho when it's ingame theres around 10-15 watt difference maybe more( usually depending on what game is played) granted the power supply will be really busy too..

They would be the same, apart from the 850 would have more connects I'm sure.
Funny how the Silent Pro Gold 800W is there

http://www.overclock.net/power-suppl...-supplies.html

Dont get a HX850 tough, it is one of the first and parts are outdated (think pheadrus said that once) Get a XFX or something similair just watch the recomended FAQ.

GTX 590 TDP = 365W. Check the TDP of your CPU as well (allow headroom for your overclock) and look at the wattage/amperage on the PSU. Work it out from there.
