I already said before I bet they would release some sort of collectors edition (although just the limited plus a shotgun does seem strange) and that I would wait until closer to release date to even consider buying any of them.
I don't think they would have some items as 'exclusive' and if they do they will most likely lie about it being exclusive and just release it to everyone later.
Also, can you post a link confirming this so called other version. I just went on their own website and see nothing which makes me think you are misinformed about this whole thing.
I very much still want the game, thank you. These are things that you can voice and complain about but ultimately you just have to bend over and take it if you want the game. As for proof:

All these give free kills to the player that unlocked them.
Extra points is fine...I really liked the medals given in BF2142, but that is going to let you get a rank unlock a faster. Not give you an extra 30 free kills in a match. I guess I am just one of those people that prizes their kill/death ratio and don't want it buffed for free and at the same tie get deaths with no action down by another palyer. I am just worried that Dice/EA (EA mostly) will start using this after seeing the sales of MW2 and COD4. Obviously people must like kill streaks
Oooh, now I know exactly what you mean, yeah. That was indeed annoying. Crysis 2 had the exact same system of kill streaks. Then again, we all know Crysis 2 is basically Call of Duty with nanosuits. I doubt Battlefield 3 will make use of that childish system, though, going by Battlefield Bad Company 2.
I would like to know, though, does anyone know if Battlefield 3 will have a "Commander" role as Battlefield 2 did?

Like in BC2 how you could get the M1 Garand and Thompson by paying extra or you could work for them and earn them anyway.
DICE is either being forced to unbalance online gameplay by EA for more money, or they are turning into a bad Dev.
Either way, Im buying the basic BF3 box.
I agree, I'm sure they'll sell this pack as DLC after release, perhaps for £4.99 or something. No doubt they'll have some more packs after release, as well, like useless skins.
