Stable Overclocking the EVGA GTS 450

I have done a good bit on this card with afterburner. The cards I have are the EVGA GTS 450's Cores are stock 822 and 1024 mem.

The best stable clock on stock voltage I was able to get was 922 core and 1445 on the mem clock. With 2 in hydra I was able to achieve a score of 3150. So many ask if Hydra is as good as SLI. My thoughts are no. The secondary card only saw 50-60%@ 60c usage while the main card was running about 96% and rising to about 73c.

I'm not 100% sure that these are good numbers for this card, but this was after trying many times to get a better core clock and voltage tweaks which seemed to always put me in a bsod state. Seems anything over 922 core clock and the card goes unstable.

Your thoughts?

If you're only getting 96% utilization on one and 50 - 60% on the other, then you need to overclock your processor a bit more as you have a bottleneck going on there.

So the even in hydralogix i should see equal usage out of both cards? Also on afterburner it seems to pick up the second card later in the testing.

IIRC Hydra scaling isn't anywhere close to SLI or crossfire currently. That said, any clock over 900 on a 450 is quite high.

As for your score, you'll have to specify what you're using to test the cards. 3150 what exactly? 3DMark 11 GPU points?
