Sean Gustafson unlocks his iPhone by swishing a finger across its screen and pecking out a four-digit PIN on its keypad. It's unremarkable save for one small thing: there is no phone in his hand. Instead, he's pressing invisible "buttons" on his palm – to operate an imaginary cellphone. And, astonishingly, it works.

Absolutely astounding! eek.gif

What makes it even better, is that you can actually talk as well if you have a bluetooth headset!

Yes but how far is it from reality? So many things fly through the news section, but we never see them, probably never will anytime soon.

It already exists, that video is a fully functioning model.

I don't like it. I spent so much money on a smartphone to hold and interact with it. I'm going to guess that's how many people will feel. I'm not sure this will catch on...

Will this go the way of the invisibility cloak and never actually appear (no pun intended) on the market?

It most likely will come on the market, seeing as how anybody with a Kinnect has what it takes to use it wink.gif

How do you see what you're doing on it if it's in your pocket? This is assuming that you're using this while you're walking along the street, also, where does the camera go in order for this to work? I didn't see one in the video. I'll stick with a fully functional Bluetooth headset.

Granted, it is a remarkable piece of technology. But, until they can develop a display that displays your screen on your sunglasses while you're using it, I don't think I'll be getting this.
