If an error occurs after the 12th hour at 100% load..... it just means there is a realative probablity of an error occuring.

An error may occur even when not at 100% load. An error may occur in the 36th hour at 80% constant load or 1000th hour at 10% load.

Stability is relative.

^^Good Sir, this can be said for everything. Error is inevitable regardless of OC'ing. When you overclock your pc your saying do more. It went from digging one hole a day in 60 degree weather to digging 5 holes a day in 90+ degree weather. This will obviously put more load on it and increase the probablilty of error. Maxing out your processor cores for 12+ hours will also shorten the lifespan, because eventually it won't want to dig anymore and give up. So it kinda goes both ways, the normal user will not come close to prime95's testing or even 80% load for more than 12 hours. I do agree there are some mathmatical probablities that can be figured, however they have to be figured from the first time that processor met a power source, then was Oc'ed so on and so forth. Is it helpful to know what 100% load for a 20 mins to an hour will do as far as temps go, sure. Is it necessary to push it for hours on end probably not, once your at an hour it seems to plateau on the temps..
