It really depends on what features you need. I wanted to be able to use the integrated graphics as a back-up so I went with z68. Good thing I did because when my 580 was DOA it didn't stop my new build, just had to swing the HDMI cable over. I must say I have been pleasantly suprised at it's abilities.

I'm looking at upgrading from my P67A-UD4-B3 (I damaged it), and looking at the GA-Z68X-UD4-B3. Anyone come across people having performance issues with the Realtek ethernet port/chip on the the Z68X?

My P67A lived thru a shortage, but the ethernet speed was seemingly unneffected til recently. My bandwidth just bottoms out after between 5-20min. Also have a Realtek NIC doing the same. I know it's not Realtek, but I'm admittingly weary all the same.

Can't think of the thread I saw with Realtek GA drivers on OCN at the moment for the life of me either.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about on a new board, but looking for a lil info all the same. Thanks for your time .

For most users, which is preferred ASUS or Gigabyte?
im thinking asrock extreme 4...

it includes the PLX, has all the vid out options, and includes a front usb3 panel, all for less $. and people seem to getting great OCs on them.

I have the ASRock Extreme 4 atm, but I haven't OC'd it yet. But it has load of features for a respectable price. Going to OC it soon, but not into 5. I'm only aiming for a 4-4.3 Ghz for 24/7 usage.

How is the ASRock Extreme 4 compared to an Asus board?
I have the ASRock Z68 Extreme 4 and I like it. Didn't have the patience to wait for the Asus Z68 Pro to get back in stock when I was building and when I compared the features to what I needed the ASRock fit just nicely. I haven't optimized my OC. I used the ASRock BIOS settings for 4.4 GHz with -0.005V offset voltage and it is running stable. I will have to understand more about the other settings and offset voltage on this setup to optimize the voltage but I'm happy so far.
