Is anyone playing Global Agenda? - Page 2

Is there a game this compares to so I can get a better understanding of how it is? I like the futuristic idea about it and that its an mmorpg but I'm not sure if I should get into it since I am already paying fro subscriptions for WOW and Rift.

I got to level 23 and stop playing it once it went free to play because on Steam the 700mb update became a DL the whole thing again and that put me off the game that wasn't to me all that particularly fun. TF2 is better. If anyone plans to play it, the dessert sucks. It's more of a tutorial area and you should just stick to mercenaries and those other modes.

I recently started playing it, So far it's manage to keep me glued to it.

It's meh, it used to be a lot better and then they changed the skill trees and made everything spammy. The game used to require a lot more skill but now they seem to have catered to the kinds of people who can't aim at all.

Shut up, Vikhr, you're bad.

Anyways, this game was really, really good, and very much worth it before the 1.4 patch came along and unbalanced the classes.

Double robo teams/builds are too effective (primarily if you're defending), and the game now rewards poison spamming, recons running around stealthing 90% of the time, relying on tech, etc.

Vik and I have played with arguably some of the best players in the game, and even they've grown extremely tired of the lack of content and the poor direction/balance that the game has taken and a large majority of them have quit or quit a long time ago.

If you enjoy relying on piss-poor tactics to win matches instead of working together as a team and actually knowing how to aim, then this game is for you.

As someone who's done pretty much all there is to do in this game over a year and a half of playing - (won 10+ AvA seasons, all classes to 50/5 stars, geared out, own most of the rarest helms/items in the game, etc.) this game is only worth it if you play TF2 and need a change of pace or need something to hold you over until BF3.

Otherwise, the game is now full of terrible players who can't aim and instead rely on the cheapest tactics to win (and this is actually far more prevalent within the end-game mode, AvA, which is supposed to be the crown jewel of this game but instead is heavily broken and overflowing with bad players).

Get it cause it's free and it'll kill time, but the game is exponentially far less enjoyable than it was pre-1.4 patch, which is a shame as it was an amazing game 2-3 months ago.
