If you don't like it, don't buy it. There are some people with legitimate critiques, but most people take the easy route and say it sucks.

They've done a descent job of modifying the original engine for each new game but I really think they should have either moved to a new engine or developed their own if they'd know how successful the series was going to be. I would be pretty disappointed if there weren't some engine improvements for MW3. The feel of that engine is getting a little old.

When you get organized teams in COD4 against each other, you need team work too or you're gonna fail. Especially in SnD matches, where there is no luck, only skill and teamplay.

BF on the other hand, organized teams are possible, but a huge mess because each team is so big. Squads help the situation a lot, but don't entirely fix it.

Why do people compare CoD to BF? Heck CSS has more similarities to CoD than than BF does.

And the CoD is a rehash series, go and play BF, CSS, TF2, etc. Much more value per game, and the games aren't replaced every single year by a new game, so the community grows.

I still play COD4 every other day at least. The community is HUGE whether you play 1.6 or 1.7 (different servers for each version)

I play TF2 often too. Yet, proper servers are about as difficult to find as in COD4. That means, no spamfest 32man, and at least 4 other people active. Then it's good.

I wouldn't mind them staying with the same engine and tweaking it for perfection, adding whistles and bells etc. But not trying to make CoD into something else.
We all want different types of games in our library not games trying to be each other or why would we want a variety of games in the first place?
