Hello, Bitfenix users. I'm impressed with Shinobi case and planning to buy it. But there is one issue that I want to fix and to mod after purchase.

It hasn't front USB 3.0. But how I can see, all of those connectors are separated. Is it possible to dismount one-two USB 2.0 connectors and replace them with this:

?
Or if you can, please, just show backside of those connectors in front panel.

Also, no, I don't want to use 3,5" usb3.0 planks.

I'm not following what you're saying. Your picture also isn't working.

I think its possible. I took some pictures with the module. There are stands with slots in them where th PCB slides in and is held down by 2 screws:

If you're good with soldering, then adding the USB ports could potentially be easy as cake. Obviously you'd have to ditch the current PCB if you want to include the Audio and microphone jack but I wouldn't really care about it since there are ones on the mobo. Depends on the person I guess.

And I just wanted to throw this in here: I'm going to do a water cooling setup in mine. I already modded the top part of my case so it can accept the Black Ice Pro II I'm going to be ordering in the coming weeks. Got my DDC-1 pump and XSPC Raystorm already biggrin.gif

I'm going to cut out the part where the fans are and adapt it for the rad. Then I'll put the fans under the top part of the case to push air through the rad instead of pull it out from under them. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll just use mesh that was on the part I cut out from the previous picture to put on the rad for a nice guard.

EDIT: You know, I was just looking at the Bitfenix site and they had a USB 3.0 extender for the motherboard. Not saying you should get this specific model but maybe there are others online for cheaper and maybe longer that can do what that does and all you would have to do is just cut a piece of thin wood or plastic to mount the ports to.

I thought they are mounted into plastic and held with it.

Hmm, good idea. Yes, there is only one problem - how to secure USB3 connectors in the front panel. But at first I need to buy the case for understanding how to do it better. Maybe just to place them somehow on PCB (I see I can disconnect USB2.0 off it).
Thank you again.

Can you explain that a little bit?

I thought USB2.0 connectors are glued in front plastic panel. Or something like that. But they are just soldered to PCB.
