I don't see how you can make such a statement. Prodigy is a great and a versatile case, and I have owned and used one for a while. People are able to mod it to fit mATX motherboards into it as well as water-cool components with custom and CL water cooling. There is a reason it is so famous and liked. Just look at the HUGE Prodigy Owners' Club thread here to see all the variations of people's builds--it's a huge thread! Something overhyped would imply a poor product that is overpriced and does not perform as advertised versus its competition.

You'r right, poor choice of words. The prodigy is great for what it is, really helped people get into other form factors. I think I am just sick of all the prodigy builds and am ready to see something different from BitFenix.

******JUNKINSTEIN ****** my bitfenix shinobi xl build
it started off as a bitfenix shinobi xl window but now its a monsta
many of the build pic got deleted by accident but this is what i saved

the first thing i did on this build is remove the hdd bays and the 5 1/4 '' bays cause i wasn't going to use them my 2 hdd's and my ssd's are on the back this way everything looked cleaner and i could fit my alphacool 360 monsta rad in the front with my feser 120mm x 55mm fans

i went back and changed out my tubing cause there was to much restriction between all my 90 degrees rads and blocks and added some mayhems supernova to my loop

on the stock shinobi xl the window is now wide enough to see my res/pump monsta rad and fans so time for the dremal CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100 i didn't want any retainer on the door so it would have a cleaner look so i hot glued everything in place.had a piece of plexi cut now the windows is much wider and has a clean look to it. also the shinobi xl has limited air flow so i cut out and installed 4x 120mm ultra quiet fan and a speed controller to adjust the right on the door. you can see the hole i drilled out for the speed controller so i can adjust it without taking the door off . i also didnt like the idea of have to unplug anything to take the door off so i bought a sliding door contact switch on ebay for $4 and made a mount for it inside the case and on the door.

in the front of the case i dcided to install 2 140mm bitfenix spectre green led fans so here i go again with the dremal

i still have alot to do on it, finish psu sleeving, more leds, im also making a tec pelteir cooler for it even thou my temps are great with all this air flow. all in all it coming out great

Very cool case for modding! I drilled out the rivets, and flipping the motherboard tray to the other side for reverse ATX was a perfect fit when reassembling--didn't need to drill any additional holes smile.gif

Does anyone have the internal measurements for a Survivor as on the website they only have external including the plastic wrap around pieces. Also if someone could measure the height of the handle when it is fully folded down (i.e. the depth of the top piece of plastic) that would be great

Cheers

The width of the actual metal frame of the case is 8 1/8" (approximating the width inside the case from wall to wall). The height of the plastic shroud on top of the case above the metal frame of the case is 1 1/8". The handle folds into the shroud to be flush with it at the top. Do you need the internal height and length of the case too?
