The fact of the matter is that it's an illegal practice. People have the choice of continuing the practice of Falun Gong, and, whether or not it may seem wrong of the CPC to outlaw it, it is outlawed.

I don't agree with the outlawing of it considering the movement is meant to bring peace and spirituality, even though they have been known for spreading propaganda and protests, but that is just my opinion and it clearly doesn't matter.

There is a difference between what is right and wrong and what is illegal and legal. You shouldn't have to look further than America's past to see that.

Whatever Falun Gong did, it's a violation of the Chinese law. It doesn't matter if it's right or wrong, you violate the law, you pay for it if you get caught. Just like you may not agree with some of the laws or punishment of some Middle Eastern countries, but it's THEIR law.

People need to learn that every country is different, and don't try to mess around with OTHER people's business.

Absolutely correct.
"When in Rome".........
I will agree that Cisco should not have helped in this one though.

Completely agree, law is law whether you like it or not. Whether it is morally correct is a different situation. Every country has a different culture and rules, sorry to say but i dont think much can be done to change China's government or the way they choose to run their country.

I'm curious--the lawsuit states that Cisco specifically marketed and tailored software for the specific tasks of pursuing dissident groups to the Chinese government, yet Cisco claims they did no such thing, and that the only piece of presentation evidence to suggest this originated from a low-level employee (perhaps implying that some crazy employee decided to put together their own presentation for superiors claiming they could do "this and that" with customized software, but such a thing was killed internally). I'm very curious what the real story is. No doubt one can use numerous non-customized pieces of software for tracking nearly anything/anyone, so why would Cisco get involved overtly in something like this when there could be serious repercussions?
