Highest Quality Mounting Arm For U2211H?

So thanks to living in college dorms and apartments for 4 years where this was the norm, I have fallen in love with being able to use my computer in the living room. I can watch movies and TV while still checking the computer when I need to, and there is plenty of couch space for friends to come over for LAN parties. It also solves another very big problem, I don't have to hide in my computer room when I want to game/forum. The GF doesn't like it when I accidentally stay in the computer room for hours. We are buying a house, so it's kinda of important that everyone stays happy! We currently have a wonderful couch with square, flat arms (perfect mouse pads!) and since I'm a lefty, we each get one side of the couch to use. This brings us to the only problem, the monitors sit on the coffee table and take up a lot of space! We also have to run wires all around it!

The solution is a great one and may very well end up as a build log someday! Here is what I propose. The couch has its back to the wall. We will have two end tables. For now, we will each set up our computers around one of the end tables, either behind it or next to it, I don't have the end tables yet so I haven't looked into the logistics. This will make it easy to run all sorts of wires behind the couch and tables. In the future, I may build the computers directly into the end tables themselves, but for now lets take one step at a time. Now, the hard part is getting a mounting arm. I want to clamp the mounting arm onto the side of the end tables so I can move my monitor comfortably in front of me when I'm computing, and comfortably off to the side when I'm not.

That means I need a mounting arm with a long reach that can be adjusted a lot vertically, and a completely free range of motion. My GF is rather picky, so I need something very high quality. It needs be very sturdy, move easily, not shake excessively, not rattle at all, and look normal enough that I can put it in a living room. Price is almost no object as long as the quality is top notch.

Sorry for the long winded post, I'm rather excited about my new house and comfortable new living room computer setup!

You can make one. Anyways, DoubleSight, Planar, and some other brands have them. XFX just came out with one that's priced in the midrange for mounts but you can make one for much less.

Would a homemade one look good enough to go into a living room? Remember, a woman is deciding the meaning of, "looks good enough." What type of tools do I need access to? I don't exactly have a machine shop.

I'm also not exactly going to have an abundance of free time, what with all the other projects a new house a brings.

Like I said in the OP, money is not really an issue as long as the quality is there. If building one would be significantly cheaper and higher quality as well, I will consider it.
