Looking for a good 22-24 inch monitor

Hey guys

I'm looking for a good 22-24 inch monitor so I can finally throw out my POS 14 inch screen.

I would use it for browsing, watching movies and of course gaming. What I definitely need from it is a matte screen, nice and high pixel density, as little backlight bleeding and ghosting as possible and most importantly NO 3D. Basically an all-around great non-3D monitor.

I would be buying it here, so preferably one that's available there .

Thanks in advance guys!

What's your budget?

Somewhere around €300, preferably less .

There really isnt a great selection from that website. What you want to look for is A monitor is 2ms response time, full backlit LED, and if you want to minimize ghosting you are going to want a 120hz monitor which is going to support 3D. You dont have to use 3D but the 120hz will be nice.

Oh, well if a 3D-supporting panel will give me better 2D visuals that's fine as well of course.

I'm not quite sure what to pick from that selection, but I don't think a 2ms response time or 120Hz refresh rate are necessary. My monitor has a 5ms response time and it isn't noticeable. Really anything in between 2ms and 5ms will suit you fine. A 3d monitor will not make your 2d visuals look any better, unless the monitor itself is just a better quality monitor. If I were you I would look at Samsung, and if you can find it there, Asus. Both seem to have good quality monitors.

Edit: About the 60Hz vs 120Hz, there is a sticky at the top of the Monitors and Displays section that has some good info.

Problem is Samsung has a lot of screens and I never know what to pick .

Just read the sticky and I don't think a 120Hz monitor would benefit me THAT much.

[OT] Also, nice ZL1 in your avatar . [/OT]

Thanks! It's gonna be a sweet car... Anyway, back on topic, I wouldn't worry as much about the screen as I would about the frame itself. Does it adjust the way you'd like it to? Does it have the right connections? Does it have things like speakers? Stuff like that. Doesn't mean you should ignore reviews, but make sure it's exactly what you want.

Search that site for IPS, two LG screens come up. I'd pick one of those. Of course, who knows what I am missing with it being in a different language...
