Clicking sound comming from power supply

Thread Starter
Recently I noticed that there was a clicking noise emitting from my antec Tp-650 new.
It goes away if i put pressure on the grill at the back so I'm thinking its the fan?

I made sure that it was mounted properly and there was nothing external which was causing the problem.

Is my power supply defective or can I fix the problem? (outside of leaving an object against the power supply to apply pressure to the back :/)

If you don't mid voiding the warranty...
Pop off the cover and move/prop the fan so is no longer rubs.

Hmm, so either wait for the RMA which will take a while since I'm in Canada, or void my warranty

Would it be a problem if I just let it click for a while until I decide or is it going to lead to something terrible if I ignore it?

Do you have any devices connected to the same strand as your gpu?

My Corsair VX550W does some odd clicking/motor kind of sound like fan is going bad. I am sure that it is the power supply by listening. And my PSU is mounted upside down like fan at bottom and from bottom the sound comes most. What should I do?

Uh, I believe my gpu is sharing a 12v rail with some other stuff if that's what you're asking

lol I mean the wires with the connectors on. If there is any device connected to same ones as the gpu move them and see if it helps. If not RMA

Shouldn't be that hard to do a tad bit of tampering with the fan without opening the casing. Have you looked inside (through the grill) and checked if anything is hitting the fan during its cycle?
