If you test with OCCT it can automatically find the errors.

I don't think that artifacting gets picked up by fraps since it's literally a part of the image that fails to get rendered by the GPU... I don't know for sure 100% though.

If you tell Fraps to log the frametimes during a game run, then do a bit of Excel-calculation magic on the results, you can spot whether or not you're getting microstutter. It probably would also record artifacts if you use the recording functionality, but I've never tested this idea.

If FRAPS can screenshot artifacts like it has for me in the past, I'm pretty sure it would be able to record them as well.

I can't see why it wouldn't. It should record the GPU's output exactly, errors and all.

I didn't notice any artifacting in that video, but the stuttering was pretty bad.

IDK what's causing it. It doesn't happen with my SLI setup in Metro or any games tbh. Were you testing a new OC or something?

I think thats a HHD bottleneck booty, it doesn't do it when I don't fraps, and it doesn't do it when I limit the fps and reduce the image quality from full to half.

I ran it again with a 60 fps limit and I turned DOF on to help keep fps down.
