[Newegg] Open Box sale AGAIN - Page 29

does the item page (for example, the gtx 580 page) get refreshed first or the list of open box page?

If you politely ask them not to charge a restocking fee (and don't use their automated system) they will waive it. I returned a perfectly good card just the other day and they paid the return shipping and waived the fee just because I was not satisfied and told them so.

However, you have to request the RMA personally through a call or email, not through their automated system because it automatically charges the fee.

This is better if you keep newegg on a different monitor next to you while you surf on your main monitor. So basically, do all of that and keep newegg open from 4-8pm est during a weekday and watch the open boxes roll in.

Very occasionally will they post them outside of that window.
I've been doing this for weeks before I snagged my gtx 580 lightning (finally). I've seen them go as earlier as 7am PDT to late in the evening as 5-6 pm PDT.

Middle of the week seems to be the best time. I guess that's when they get all the returns restocked from returns and ready to be loaded onto the site. I snagged my deal on a Thursday evening despite seeing other cards being loaded earlier that morning last week.

Best thing you can do is customize your search and keep refreshing if you can throughout the day. Higher end cards are going to go like hot cakes but gtx 560 ti's and the 6800's from amd are going to last a bit longer.

Do you mean the link to their live chat? It only shows up during customer support operating hours

Like ninjas I say. Anytime I manage to notice a good deal on there, it goes from being available to out of stock when I click on it.

Add DX11 as a search parameter and it'll filter out a bunch of older GPUs.

Also: I just learned that Newegg sells recertified GPUs. The deals aren't as great, but they seem to be readily in stock.

I would rather have someone from OCN grab it than some random.
