Front Panel headphone and USB sockets?

Thread Starter
I have a decent size case with plenty of room on the front for a panel with USBs and audio. I screwed some cheap USB sockets on to the front of my milling machine, but splicing the wires wasn't neat; the wires are moulded into the sockets. I wondered if there were any neat usb sockets for things like this?

I can mill a panel out of ali and I can if necessary[rather not] make a PCB to mount the usb sockets on.

You can buy PC board mount USB sockets at an electronics warehouse (e.g. Jameco); but it may be easier to just buy a bay I/O device such as the Silverstone FP32 (available in Silver and Black)

I had discounted one of those but it might be the easiest way to go. I spose I could stick it in one of the 10 unused[at the moment] SCSI bays;-)

I saw one for sale on another forum a few weeks ago and did get the cable lengths, but haven't got round to measuring up to see whether I will have to extend the leads. My case is really deep and having the panel in the 'other' side of the case means the leads need to be quite long.
I used the sockets from a back panel USB socket thingie in my milling machine, I spliced in some lengths of patch cable with IDC plugs to attach to the motherboard, the cables are around 4 feet long! They work a treat but are not very neat.
