Is this decent water temperature? - Page 2

Sure you got all the air out of your loop?
So your cpu is first out of the radiator yet it is running at 70C while the gpu is at 50c? Something is off....I would try resetting the cpu block. A good temp is around 50C. Your gpu temps arent a big deal its your cpu temp that is the problem.

More RAD!

Tell me if this is the correct loop:

pump/rad/cpu/gpu/nb-vrm-sb/res?

Are you using a push/pull fan config too? How is the case air flow setup?

Its not a radiator issue if his cpu is 20C higher then that gpu which is after the cpu.

I'm thinking about going for a Xspc Rasa cpu block, since there is so much hassle with this one. The GT is second hand, and I had to lap it because of dents in it.

Also the bolts on the top was worn out, so it's hell to unscrew the top from the block. Replacing them bolts and still fiddle around with the block bottom, then I might want to sell it, coupled with some other gear I won't be using (to someone that wants quiet operation at a cheap price)

But I'm more interested now if the water temperature is bad, ordinary use it never goes above 33c, normally 32c when playing games at 24c ambient.

The order is Res-> Pump-> Rad-> Cpu-> Gpu --> Res

-Alphacool Cape Bullseye
-Koolance PMP-450 with Alphacool HF D5 TOP
-EK CoolStream RAD XTC (420)
-Swiftech Apooge GT
-Koolance Vid-AR587

- 1/2" Tubing

I'm not so sure if I want to tell how the case flow setup is, cause it obviously sucks or blows xD

Good idea! Have you taken the old block apart and looked at it for issues?

Yeah, I retract. I thought you had more in your loop.

A few points:

1. Loop order is unimportant. Water temp varies by very little through your loop.
2. CPU's usually run hotter than GPUs under water. Doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem.
3. OP's air-water delta is a little high.

Some performance levels:

water-air =
<15°C - Slightly overloaded but capable
<10°C - Average
<5°C - Enthusiast
<2°C - Crazy talk.

You have a 12°C delta, which is respectable but you can do better. I would see about adding more fans in a push / pull arrangement, or faster fans, or more rads. In that order.

There is only the stock fans in the case, 3 x 230mm fans.

one in front, and two above the radiator with a shroud.

Also having two tubes attached to the top of the radiator as fill ports probably is a incredibly bad idea as well perhaps, since its air in them now...

Not enough static pressure I guess

In push/pull, does it have to be the same model fan on each side? (this started as I wanted to do something different)
