If I bought a 570 now, I plan on buying another in about 2 weeks. I want 580s but they are so expensive, thats why im looking at 570s.

Let me know if you want any benchies to compare to your previous setup, CPU at 3.9ghz though, GPU's up to 880 core or so for benchmarks, or less. I don't run them all the time that way.

With 570's you start at a point that takes 560's the max OC to reach. SO, with an OC 570 you'll always win over a 560, even with air570 vs water560.

What kinda benchies you got? Curious how far behind my 560's are to 570's...

Heavily overclocked (1GHz), 560 = 570, negligible difference. At 850 core, 570 = stock 580 frame for frame when the VRAM doesn't affect it, and most non-reference 570s can do 875+.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/gigaby...-soc-review/18

A maximum overclocked 570 will check in a few frames ahead of a 580 in that review. Scaling on the GTX 500 series is the same for all cards, so SLI would be similar % differences.

3dmark11, performance/extreme, metro, unigine heaven

Also, to the above dude, many reference 570's can do 875mhz too. The nonreference just do it with less risk and lower temps. Although if it doesn't fail you have gambled and won. I rolled the dice, no worries here. Especially if you have SLI, if one fails you still have a good card while the other RMA's.

A GTX 560 is about 15-20% less than a GTX 570 which is about 15-20% less than a GTX 580. Make sense?

If you have enough for a 3 slot card ASUS ENGTX570 DCII/2DIS/1280MD5 GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB . $354.98 w/shipping.

If you can't SLI it not having 6 slots to waste and want to SLI down the road then MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III PE/OC GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB. $377.86 w/shipping.

If dumping hot air into your tower bothers you or effects you than you'd want to look at EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB. $352.86 w/shipping + $30 mail in rebate for $322.86.
