as the title states im looking for a good, decent backlit keyboard, not the ones that have sticky keys, which im sure is hard to tell from anyone's standpoint, when they are buying it, but mainly a blue backlit keyboard under $100

Here. It's $15 more than your budget but you don't have to pay tax or shipping (assuming you're in US). Well worth it imo.

I looked into keyboards just last month. I tried the Razer Blackwidow because it was on sale and it was a mechanical keyboard. I brought it home and the plus side is it's very responsive typing. The down side is it's very loud. So loud in fact first night typing away while everyone was sleeping and my spouse comes out of bedroom and tells me to keep it down. She was awaken out of a dead sleep. Ack!

So I returned it next day and purchased the Razer Anansi backlit. It's not as responsive but it's very nice on the fingers and a night and day difference on the sound volume typing away. It is responsive none the less, just not mechanical.

So if I had to give advice to anyone just be aware of this. If you can sometimes your electronic store has the keyboards displayed and you should check it out. Type away on it like your typing a paragraph normally and see how the 'feel' of it is before you purchase.

I do love my Razer Anansi it's the best keyboard I've ever owned. Well at least my first gaming keyboard and one that's back lit. You can choose what color the backlit to be on a color wheel, or let it go through a revolving color wheel on it's own all day.

Good luck bud.

@ Arizonian

It's not mechanical and the price is way too high for a ordinary keyboard. If you want a backlit keyboard and don't need mechanical keys, I would recommend the Saitek Eclipse II. The design on the keyboard is awesome and you have 4 difference backlit lights! Red, blue, purple and pink! The keyboard is also the best non mechanical keyboard I've typed and gamed on, the keyboard also have media control keys which is very useful and nicely integrated into the keyboard.

Hey, I will admit that LED is nice even between the keys. The Razer Anansi is only the key letters themselves that lite up. As I've already commited to the purchase I will take a look at that keyboard maybe next time aroud. Thanks for sharing.

No problem, Saitek have even made a Saitek Eclipse III, but I did not like that keyboard at all, it's totally different design and hard to type on, since the wrist support thingy is was to steep.
