Don't be tricked. I think that $105 is only if you get it with the full Comcast package with voice and premium cable TV. By itself, I think it would be $200 a month.

Oh no, regular price is $199 and the $105 is a standalone price.

Nice... that is not bad considering the 50mbps costs that. That might mean some price drops for the other plans, hopefully. Now you got me excited and I want it. $100 a month is DOABLE for me, I just feel it's a lot for internet. I'll probably mix and match; get 12 months of Ultra 30mbps for $30 a month, then upgrade to a 1 year contract for the 100mbps. The money I save with the Ultra can go towards the 100mbps next year.

That days I work, download and upload a lot are the days I'm saying that it's worth it. The days that I don't do much, I question myself for paying that much, haha.

For me, it's like driving. Why speed and go an extra 5-10 MPH and get speeding tickets just to arrive at the place a "few" mins earlier. So I'm thinking, is it "really" worth it paying $100/month or should I save $40-50/month just to download or upload something for an extra 10-20 mins...

my only true option is comcast (no FIOS around here and DSL is trash)... it sucks but wat r u gonna do...

u gotta look for deals (slickdeals ftw). i went from 15down/3up for $20 to 20/3 for $30/month for just internets with my own SB6120.

no contract no modem rental no bs fees.. no more huge comcrap bill

I'm waiting to Time Warner to get Docsis 3.0 here supposedly by summer this year. Will be signing up for the 30/5 plan. Not to much more then the current 15/2 plan with powerboost.

Comcast 20/4 Internet

and for what its worth, I lived one street over as of 3 months ago, and with 20/4 internet and a DOCSIS 2.0 modem I was getting closer to 22/8. Wonder if 2.0 gets better upload afterall with their current system.

I think it does. I remember I had a SB5101 and when DOCSIS 3 hit, I noticed a slight speed increase on DOCSIS 2. My theory is everyone else that has been upgraded to DOCSIS 3 capable modems lighten the load on the DOCSIS 2 infrastructure, giving you a slight increase?
