It would be WAY more interesting in 3d and if they begged for mercy! Hmmm... New Summer Project? Unreal engine or cryengine

What I saw was a massive pile of bodies with copious amounts of blood smeared all over the walls. I didn't think too much of it at the time, until I spoke to a friend of mine later that day.

He told me he had just gotten a mod for the game, something "Gib", I didn't catch the full name. Apparently, it cranks up the level of gore to an even higher amount. For those who have played Left 4 Dead 2, you'll know this is quite a feat. I asked him if he enjoyed the game more because of it, and responded with an emphatic yes.

I know that not everybody loves body parts flying all over the place when playing a game, but it is a large part of games today. Gore, blood, whatever you want to call it. Some games even have it as a selling point (Soldier Of Fortune Series). Basically, there's a good amount of people who enjoying seeing stuff getting ripped off things.

So I pose this question.

Would you play a game based purely on a visceral blood/gore factor without any other aspects?

No story.
No multiplayer.
Absolutely no development of any sort.

What I'm linking to below is something called "Torture Game 2". It's by far one of the most unsettling and disturbing things I've ever played. I'm sure you could probably see by the title what it's about. It doesn't have a story but it does feature an "elaborate" torture system.

The Torture Game 2.

Would you consider that a game? Would you even consider that thing to be an enjoyable experience?
That Torture Game 2 is AWESOME!

The torture game would be better if the victim cried out in pain and begged for mercy. And the victim dies too fast also.

I use games to do stuff I won't and can't do in real life. and even if I was given a chance to do, I still won't do it. What's in a game, stays in a game.
so maybe I would play a game like that.

To answer the main question, no. I think most people would answer the same way. Theres already a lot of gory crap story games out that fail.
