Build question regarding Asus P67 mobo.

Thread Starter
Starting my build tonite and am putting the mobo in my Antec 902 case. My case came with 8 little red washers that I suppose you are suppose to put between the screw and the mobo. But I have seen/read that this is no longer needed with newer mobos. They appear to be a light wieght painted red metal. Is it ok to use them? Asus p8p67 evo mobo btw.

There is 9 points to secure the mobo to the case and antec sent no directions with the case and only 8 of this type screw with the red washers. The motherboard from asus came with no mounting screws. Yes or no for the red washers?

I have never seen washers before, so I am sure you are fine without them.

Won't hurt anything if they're already on.
