Excellent question for the OP, this will determine a lot about what kind of mouse you will personally love.

Going to answer for the Mamba and Death Adder now, better for claw grips.

shape/grip: gotta be comfortable.

side buttons: whatever

weight: lower is better. under 80 is excellent, under 90g is good, under 100 is ok, under 110 is yuck, over 110 = avoid

perfect control speed: higher is better. no less than 1.55m/s preferably over 2m/s

lift off distance: lower is better. less than 2 CD is good.

correction/prediction: none is better, but a little bit isn't the end of the world.

acceleration: none is better. a little bit IS the end of the world.

cpi: should have a setting for 800-1000cpi. less COULD get u into trouble and more is generally useless. there's a formula that'll let u kno.

polling rate: must support 500Hz. (most do)

wired/wireless: you will take death before wireless.

that's it. Now have a look at the sticky and go crazy
ok here's what u do. someone recommends you a mouse. then you open up the sticky, find the mouse and see if its stats meet the criterions i've laid out for u. if not, don't be afraid to hold out for a better option.
