i was in the top 50 teamed and pub 2vs2. dont think we ever lost to blobs.
I've been in the top 10 for quite a while with my friends in 3vs3 and I was 130th on america in 1vs1 beating top 30 guys who blobbed grenadiers and such. A blob killed by a simple artillery strike? That would work until you used the "retreat" button or moved your units away from the artillery zone. Blobbing works if done right. Edit: Oh my, I think I just got trolled. Moving on...

Very true. I've had countless games where 2 sec arty walked right over a gren/pio spam. Now it is 2.7 sec, which is still just right to give the blobber a chance, but should still fear my HQ arty.

Game can never be totally balanced unless all factions have equal units. And blobbing actually still works. Try 2vs2 against a brit/america combo both giving birth to a huge blob that just goes around the map killing everything. Blobbing success depends a lot on the map, Wolfheze and Duclair being the best blobbing maps I think. Still, great game
K, I see what you mean. I agree, perfect balance, in the sense that perfect means with no error, won't be achieve as it can never be. But it has surely fixed MANY issues that were broken in the game.

A bit off-topic, but when a RTS reaches balance, it actually means that there exists a sense that a single strat is not capable of winning every game with error. It exists in a stage where no balance is required...if you get what I mean.

Pio+pak was horrendous broken. Patch has made CoH balanced as not 1 tactic guartees a win.

I don't blob. My highest ranking faction is with the Brits, sat at 1 for a bit and still remain up there for 2v2, and I didn't blobbed one bit. I actually play 3 (total) recon -> chruchill.

Ouch dawg, white text is a true CoH player there. lol. GR is filled with garbage assumptions like this. Please don't be like that, he made a valid point which has its value.

Does it work even against the top tiers of blobbers? Sure does!

What's your guys' in game names? PvtDomino here. <- lots of peeps hate tho. :/

Oh wow... I couldn't figure out what game you guys were talking about even after searching google. My friend actually works for relic and worked on this game and the warhammer series. Glad to see people still enjoying it.

Well, the warcraft/starcraft games did push and/or create the genre and subsequent games forward. Before Diablo there wasn't a thing called action/rpg. It's like the Witcher 2's ancestor.

This. In my words every faction has equal chance to win the match, depending on the player of course. If a player can adapt a strategy that works against the rival player, you should have a chance to win.

Yeah, I know I jumped into conclusions but considering the other posts from him trashing the greatest MMO ever (this from a guy who has never played MMO) I think I wasn't much off too. Also blobbing is one strategy, would it be so popular if one artillerycall would be instantwin? I don't think so.

Mine is Tuxi, simple Add me to friends if you want to.

Edit: Checked your status and you're good. Got to give you credit Never really liked 2vs2, 3vs3 or 4vs4 unless it was teamed. Couple of friends, a small 28c warm room, company of heroes and the most intense lan ever may begin. Rage might occur
