Crosshair V for me.
Nothing too fancy, but solid looking board with great features.

I'm not planning on bulldozer but heres some observations.

MSI
PCIE only for soundcard if you go Crossfire

Asus
No PCIE for soundcard, might be able to use PCI soundcard while in crossfire

Gigabyte
no PCIE for soundcard, can use PCI soundcard while in crossfire

ASRock
PCIE only while in crossfire

Crosshair V
No soundcard possible if running crossfire

I just purchased a soundcard and dont even know if they are worth it yet. But looking into buying a new motherboard would be expansion ability. Running crossfire on most motherboards covers your expansion slots.

I noticed the same thing and no way I am ditching my soundcard from my current build. It's movin' on up! My thought is to use the Asus Sabertooth board and run Crossfire in the bottom tan slot and the dark brown slot (x16, x8) to keep the x1 free to stick the sound card in.

The layouts all suck for fitting Crossfire + a Pci-E sound card.

Really like the gigabyte.

Seeing some reviews, looks like the Sabertooth is about $200. Prices on boards keep going up. Then again, the reviews for the new boards are showing them to have better voltage regulation than the 890fx ones. I guess we'll see. I'm mostly waiting to see how hot the boards run, and if they need any additional cooling. Sabertooth is still my vote.

Probably Gigabyte but how about an 'other' option? I know you made this a while ago but there are more mobo manufacturers out there. Biostar hasn't announced anything yet and Sapphire just did.

I just checked out the Sapphire picture that I could find. So far I'm also liking that layout, possibly more than the Asus Sabertooth. I just want to know what kind of surface area that NB/VRM heatsink has. If Sapphire has any reputation in the video card world (I've had very good luck with them), they may do well this time around with motherboards.

If I'm able to pick up a Bulldozer, I'll be getting the Biostar TA990FXE.
