Haha....that's what I was actually thinking. Also to anyone thinking of telling me to spend the $100 difference on a SSD, I am not gonna do it. SSDs are way to expensive IMO and do not give me the space for my needs. I am going to shortstroke my 3 7200.10s to a 240gb RAID0 partition. That will give me SSD like read and write mbs less access time.

Hear, hear! I'm with you on that idea And there are people who actually think having a hd is useless these days since the ssd has been created.

Gettin' back to the subject. I personally think you will have no regret spending that extra $100 for the 2600k. It appears based on your usage; the HT will come in very handy.

If you can afford the i7, get it. I couldn't justify the price difference for gaming.

I can get 40K PPD with BigAvg. I can never come close to half that with my GTX 470.

Actually I did not get a chance to install it cuz NewEgg had the Z68X-UD4 on sale for $180 (will be on sale for the next few days) Since it was only $10 more than the UD3P, I could not resist buying it and returning my UD3P back to Tiger Direct.

Ok Blue....as you know, we had VERY similar setups prior to my upgrade to SB. I do ALOT of home video editing and encoding. With my previous Q9650 @ 4.0ghz, it would take approximately 8-10 minutes to encode about 2 hours of video. With my 2500k running at 4.5, it takes less than 2 minutes to encode the exact same material.

I could not justify spending the extra $100. Not only that, I was able to sell my previous setup of Q9650, EP45-UD3P, and 8GB of DDR2-1066 and had less than $15 out-of-pocket after it was all said and done

If you're seriously considering upgrading to SB...do it now, before 775 products drop even more in price.

Personally, I'd take the extra money and invest in more HDD because your home movies are going to fill up those that you have in no time...trust me on this one
