Well it was like the fifth time. And I'd been going against their recommendation sheet for quite a while, usually trying to go at least 100-150W lower than their nonsense, save people at least $20 or so. I also called his recommendation ridiculous and harmful, and tried to argue with numbers and facts. Then he banned me.

You'll never top 350W. You could run on a Corsair CX430 (though I'd prefer to see the CX430v2 of course).

Curious, what were his reasons for recommending a 650w for a system with a HD4350 in it?

Him: "All PCIe graphics cards require a minimum of a 550W power supply."

Me: "All of them?"

Him: "Yes."

Me: "Including ones that draw only 15W?"

Him: "Yes."

Me: "Why?"

Him: "Because they do."

Me: "Where did you hear this?"

Him: "A guy I know in the PSU industry told me it once. Something about rails."

Me: "Who? Why? When? Isn't it possible you misheard? I mean, maybe he was--"

Him: "**** and get back to work."

I've just gone to the forum and have seen someone recommending a 750w for a rig with a single 8800GTX in it.
