how do i unlock a Dell GX260 series mother board? - Page 2

We had those computers at work and don't think its possible to unlock it as Phaedrus said. I don't remember any such possibility is BIOS and on board is nothing either.

You can't overclock it. There's no simpler answer than that.

Excuse me?
It's not capable. I had an Optiplex GX270 for a while years ago, and while it was halfway decent in 2006-2007 with a video card added (among some other changes), there's no overclocking potential, and even if there was, the cooling/power draw versus the extra performance aren't worth it in that PC and with that CPU.

What is this "project" you keep speaking of?

okay to meet the requirements to go on to junior year i have to pick a topic, do research, do an investigation, then do a presentation on it. anyways I choose overclocking so now i have to overclock a dell in 4 days.
