Flashing GTX 470 to Quadro 5000

Thread Starter
I would like to flash (if compatible) my GTX 470 to a Quadro 5000 bios to see improvement in CAD software

I'm wondering if it's safe to go from and back a GTX 470 to a Quadro 5000

I have a backup of my GTX and the bios of a Quadro 5000

NVFlash doesn't see a match...

There is more different than just the bios on the two cards - even if you force flashed it, there would be many issues

The cards not only have a different BIOS, they also have different frame buffer, architectural differences, Quadro 5000 has less CUDA cores, and hoenstly, I can't possibly recommend trying it.

All you will do is brick your GTX470

Hey spank, where are you based? I could possibly make that swap if you're still game?
