Cherry MX-Black in SteelSeries 6Gv2 gone bad?

Thread Starter
Today, when I started using SteelSeries 6Gv2 after sleep, the key "4" (above e+r) didn't register at all. After pushing it up and down for a while it started registering.

About a month ago I started having problems with that key. It started doing "44" on screen, even up to "4444" in one short push. Bottoming it all the way down and releasing only does one "4".

I have cleaned this keyboard once with CyberClean and I was careful of not letting it go into the switch, as it would just cut it self there. Maybe piece got in there and started doing bad things to the switch contact?

This key is one of my most useds keys in the keyboard. Keyboard is 6 months old and no other key is doing this, I even specificly tried to balance near the actuation. The key doesn't feel any different from other keys. Would it still possible be a faulty switch?

Wondering what can fix contact problems in the switch? Blowing compressed air from random directions hasn't done anything. Only pushing it many times to "warm it up" works to make it more ~reliable.

Or should I return it again? Returned my initial one, it had ~6 keys that were ~scratching their way in the switch. I looked under keycaps and saw it wasn't easily fixable. In return I got keyboard that had one key scratching(almost stuck), but that one was easily fixed.

If they'll take back a 6 month old keyboard why not?

The switch should be good for a bare minimum of 20m key presses, if it died that fast something was def wrong with it, if they wont take it back you could always buy a switch and replace it.
