[RP] Windows 8 To Support Xbox 360 Games - Page 6

I honestly think this is the kinda of cross-play MicroSoft needs for them to succeed like they intend for PC as a platform.

Rumorpedia is trash, they published fake Bulldozer articles many times, but they took it a step too far when they had a fake conversation window up with Colin Brix, totally not called for.

I really don't believe 360 games will ever play on any PC without the use of an emulator. Why would Microsoft do that?

I don't see many Xbox 360's with the discontinued HD-DVD drive either.

Somehow I do not see this coming to fruition. Though the made about backwards compatibiltiy being done via the pc, my be a reason why it might.

I'd quite like to play Halo: Reach on my PC - Not for multiplayer, but more Forge.

It would be pretty cool if I could join Xbox Live Parties too since most of my friends have 360s.

We could also show how KB + Mouse ALWAYS dominates.
This would be good for the PC community.

1)Many gamers who play Xbox exclusive games may buy a PC

2)Would increase the top tier performance of console games, as well as their sole ports to PC

3)It could allow more cross system game play

4)Could really shift the way console gamers play/think about the PC. They would think of it as the ultimate gaming machine, instead of what they think of as a "console wanna-be"

I hope something like this would come out and introduce new gamers to PC gaming, the superior form of gaming, and bump up the market for PC gaming and development of better and better games.

If this were the case I could see them developing more for consoles actually, and stop making PC versions of games. That way, you would end up buying the $60 game for consoles instead of a 40-50 PC version

That's IF it would be true.

Only good I can see would maybe better cross system game play.

I doubt it. If Microsoft had a successful distribution platform on the PC they would charge $10 to use their GFWL.

MSFT is greedy like that.

That would mean that all xbox 360 games would have to be optimized to run on different hardware. I don't see that happening.
